Schroder Income Maximiser falls into SPW's 'Black List' after tough 2015

The £922m Schroder Income Maximiser fund has entered Sanlam Private Wealth's (SPW) latest 'Black List' of UK dividend-focused funds, after a difficult period for performance.

SPW's bi-annual Income Study ranks funds using seven different criteria based on returns, volatility and income distributed over the past five years, with the most recent period of performance receiving a higher weighting. Schroder Income Maximiser, run by Thomas See, had the highest net dividend yield of any fund in the study at 8.4% as at 31 December 2015, but fell 6.9% on a total return basis over the year.
