Allianz Global Investors has acquired global bond manager Rogge Global Partners (RGP) from Old Mutual.
Allianz GI is acquiring 100% of the share capital for an undisclosed sum as it hopes to strengthen its existing fixed income capabilities, particularly in the UK. London-based RGP has £24bn in assets under management and runs various global and emerging markets fixed income funds. Allianz GI already has an Asian fixed income and emerging market debt teams, and have recently hired Mike Riddell from M&G to lead the UK fixed income franchise.
