Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) has announced its plans to launch a Gold & Silver fund in March as investors seek to diversify their portfolios.
The new fund will be managed by Ned Naylor-Leyland, who joined OMGI from Quilter Cheviot in September 2015 and has 15 years experience in the precious metals sector. The manager will be supported by analyst Joe Lunn and investment administrator, Amelia Bowyer, who previously worked with him at Quilter Cheviot. He will also continue to run a Malta-domiciled precious metal fund for Quilter Cheviot, which was acquired by Old Mutual Wealth in 2014.
