AXA Investment Managers' Richard Marwood, manager of the £934m Distribution fund, has left the group after 20 years to join Royal London Asset Management as senior fund manager, Investment Week can reveal.
RLAM has yet to assign any funds for Marwood (pictured) to manage but he will work closely with the equities team, including Martin Cholwill, manager of the £1.7bn UK Equity Income fund, and will report to Piers Hillier, RLAM's chief investment officer. Hillier said: "Richard is a key hire for Royal London Asset Management's equity team. Richard's strong history of managing equities across a range of market conditions will be valuable for RLAM and its clients as we continue to build out our offering in this area."
