Metcalfe takes over £1bn Newton UK Equity fund from Stephany

Christopher Metcalfe has taken over leadership of the £1bn Newton UK Equity fund from Paul Stephany, who is no longer performing any fund management roles at the company.

Stephany will also step aside from the £371m UK Opportunities fund, which he has run since February 2013, which will also be taken over by Metcalfe (pictured). A spokesperson from BNY Mellon, Newton's parent company, said: "It is not our policy to comment on any individual employees. However, we can confirm that Paul Stephany is not currently performing any fund management (CF30 portfolio manager) roles. "Christopher Metcalfe is managing the Newton UK Opportunities fund and the Newton UK Equity fund in the interim." Harries leaves Newton to join Lyon's team at Troy According to ...
