Chris Samuel, formerly CEO of Ignis Asset Management, has become a non-executive chairman of Defaqto, a provider of independent financial products and fund information and ratings.
Samuel (pictured) brings over 35 years of financial services experience to his new role, having been chief executive at Ignis for five years, before it was acquired by Standard Life Investments in 2014. He has also held executive board positions in a variety of asset management businesses including Gartmore, Hill Samuel Asset Management and Cambridge Place Investment Management.
