ETF trading on LSE hits record £6.8bn in February

ETFs reported record trading volumes during February, with £6.8bn in total traded on the London Stock Exchange, the latest figures revealed.

This figure was up 4% on the previous record high on the London Stock Exchange, which was set during January 2015. Meanwhile, 30 new ETFs were listed on the LSE during the month, making the total number of products listed during 2016 nearly 40. There are now almost 900 ETFs listed on the London Stock Exchange. This is a 42% increase year-on-year and included the first ever ETF listed with exposure to Israel. New vehicles in February included 15 fixed income ETFs from the likes of SPDR and Vanguard, eight smart beta products from UBS and six equity products from Amundi and Source. ...
