M&G hires Ashburton's Hanson for absolute return push

Appointed as multi-asset fund manager

M&G has appointed Tristan Hanson as a multi-asset fund manager as it plans to develop an absolute return proposition.

Hanson joins from Ashburton Investments, where he was head of asset allocation with responsibility for global multi-asset funds. In his new role, he will report to Dave Fishwick (pictured), head of multi-asset. Prior to this he worked as a strategist at JP Morgan Cazenove where he covered equities, fixed income and currencies. At M&G he will be responsible for developing the firm's absolute return proposition, which the firm said is in the early stages of development in response to client demand.  Currently the firm's only absolute return fund is a pooled pensions product created w...
