Lindsell Train trust receives boost from LSE merger

Agreed merger with Deutsche Börse

Nick Train, manager of the Lindsell Train investment trust, is looking to add to his holding in the London Stock Exchange following its merger with Deutsche Börse.

It was announced on 16 March that LSE had agreed a 'merger of equals' with German stock exchange provider Deutsche Börse. The merger is expected to be completed by the end of 2016 or the first quarter of 2017. The £86m trust currently has a 4.8% exposure to the stock exchange, its sixth-largest holding, and manager Nick Train (pictured) said the deal was part of a wider trend of rising M&A activity.
