Investor sentiment drops to lowest level on record

Driven by negativity towards UK equities

The Lloyds Private Banking survey for March has revealed investor confidence has fallen to its lowest level since the index began three years ago.

The monthly Lloyds Bank Private Banking Investor Sentiment index measures net investor sentiment towards an asset class, showing the difference between those with a positive and a negative outlook for the next six months. Results from March's survey reveal overall monthly investor sentiment has dropped to its lowest level since the index was launched in March 2013, at 2.26%, down from 15.76% this time last year.
