City Financial streamlines bond range after Glass departure

Merged two fixed income funds

City Financial has merged the Defensive Global Bond fund with its Diversified Fixed Interest fund following the departure of Graham Glass.

Glass (pictured) left his role as head of fixed income last year and the fund was handed to his colleague Phil Lee. The fund, then known as the Strategic Global Bond fund, was previously run on an outsourced basis for City Financial while Glass was at his former employer Argyll Investment Services. It was then brought in-house when Glass joined City Financial. Upon Glass' departure, the firm said it would be "reviewing the future viability" of the fund after assets fell from more than £100m to £16m.
