AXA IM has appointed former employee Pierre-Emmanuel Juillard as managing director of a new investment team focusing on liquid absolute return strategies.
The group aims to launch this part of the business in the second half of 2016 through a dedicated asset management subsidiary in Hong Kong, subject to regulatory approval. Juillard will be based in Hong Kong and will lead an initial team of 10 with the aim of expanding AXA IM's capabilities in this space. He will report to CEO Andrea Rossi (pictured). He previously worked as partner and head of structuring in the securities division in Asia Pacific at Goldman Sachs.
