Update: Miton's Godber and Hamilton to join Polar Capital

Miton managers George Godber and Georgina Hamilton are understood to be joining Polar Capital.

It is understood they will be joining upon completion of their Miton notice and will run a UK equities product. Polar Capital currently runs 18 open-ended funds and three investment trusts, however Guy Rushton's £36m UK Absolute Equity fund is the only UK-focused product. Polar Capital declined to comment on the matter. Shares in the AIM-listed asset manager Miton fell from 34.7p at the close last night to 25p this morning. The share price remains up 4% over the past year and the firm's performance has strengthened in recent months, reporting pre-tax profit of £2.1m in 2015 comp...
