Miton managers George Godber and Georgina Hamilton are understood to be joining Polar Capital.
It is understood they will be joining upon completion of their Miton notice and will run a UK equities product. Polar Capital currently runs 18 open-ended funds and three investment trusts, however Guy Rushton's £36m UK Absolute Equity fund is the only UK-focused product. Polar Capital declined to comment on the matter. Shares in the AIM-listed asset manager Miton fell from 34.7p at the close last night to 25p this morning.
