An online services rating both funds and fund selectors called SharingAlpha has launched this week, described as 'Morningstar meets TripAdvisor'.
Funds are rated based on the average rating provided by fund selectors worldwide using qualitative parameters. The process employs a qualitative approach, which looks at factors such as fees, capacity and active share, sintead of focusing solely on historical performance. The service will also be able to rate individual fund selectors on their ability to pick funds. This will allow fund raters to test their analysis and provide a track record to clients.
