Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff has been suspended for at least six months after the country's Senate voted to impeach her and put her on trial.
Rousseff (pictured) is accused of using funding from state banks to hide the budget deficit ahead of her re-election in October 2014. She has also been embroiled in scandals involving corruption at Brazilian oil giant Petrobras and is accused of having ruined the country's public finances.
