Electra Private Equity appoints new chairman

Electra Private Equity has appointed Neil Johnson as non-executive chairman and director of the company, following the resignation of Roger Yates last year.

Johnson's appointment will take effect from 12 May, allowing Dame Kate Barker, who had taken on the role on an interim basis, to resume her role as senior independent director and chairman of the remuneration and nomination committee.  Barker was appointed chairman of the company in November 2015 on an interim basis following the resignation of Roger Yates who left after activist investor Edward Bramson won his battle to gain a seat on the board.  Prior to joining Electra, new chairman Johnson has worked as a non-executive director of manufacturing firm Umeco and model railway brand H...
