Henderson hires Santander AM's Payne to join Cautious Managed team

Report to head of UK equities Burville

Henderson Global Investors has hired Stephen Payne from Santander Asset Management to co-manage its £2.1bn Cautious Managed fund, alongside Chris Burvill, John Pattullo and Jenna Barnard.

Payne (pictured) will report to Burvill, who is also director of UK equities and lead fund manager. At Santander AM, Payne was responsible for the £45m Enhanced Income, £3m Dividend Income Portfolio and £151m Equity Income funds, which will be passed to Graham Ashby, senior fund manager in the UK equities team who now oversees all UK equity strategies for the group.
