Update: Burnett joins ex-Ignis distribution head Chene at Manulife Asset Management

Alan Burnett, former director at Lyxor, and former AXA Investment Management institutional sales director Martin Powis have joined Claude Chene, previously head of distribution at Ignis, at Canadian firm Manulife Asset Management ahead of a push into the UK market.

Chene (pictured) joined the firm in July 2015 as global head of distribution as the group begins to work on building relationships in the UK market. He has hired former director at Lyxor, Alan Burnett, who joined on 2 May as managing director, head of wholesale sales and client relationships for the UK and Ireland. He will be responsible for building relationships with leading fund provider platforms and fund selectors at banks, wealth managers and family offices across the UK.
