Martin Currie's Whitehead becomes manager of Securities Trust of Scotland

The board of the £152m Securities Trust of Scotland has appointed Martin Currie's head of income Mark Whitehead as portfolio manager.

He takes over from Alan Porter, who will continue as a senior member of the Martin Currie's income team, and will work as co-manager of the £101m Legg Mason IF Martin Currie Global Equity Income fund alongside Whitehead. Whitehead (pictured) joined the group last year from Sarasin & Partners where he was head of the income team and lead portfolio manager of its global equity income range with AUM over £900m.
