Capital Group to launch UCITS version of flagship US equity strategy

US fund giant Capital Group is set to launch its flagship US strategy, Investment Company of America (ICA), as a UCITS fund available to European investors in June.

The firm, which is responsible for $1.4trn in AUM, will launch its longest-standing strategy as a UCITS Luxembourg-domiciled vehicle, which will follow the same investment approach as the existing fund. ICA, which launched in 1934, has returned 12.9% per annum according to the group's own figures, beating the average return of 10.7% from the S&P 500 over the same period.
