Jupiter's Simon Somerville is set to leave the business after eleven years, passing on the management of his Japan Income fund to deputy manager Dan Carter.
Carter has worked at Jupiter since 2008, when he joined from Odey Asset Management, and will be taking over lead management of the £576m Jupiter Japan Income. He has worked alongside Somerville (pictured) for eight years and is also lead manager on the Jupiter Japan Select SICAV fund. The Jupiter Japan Income has returned 0.6% over the year to 26 May, according to FE, versus losses of 3.7% by the IA Japan sector.
