Newton Investment Management has appointed Zoe Kan as lead manager on its £2.1bn Asian Income fund, which has had no named manager since the departure of Jason Pidcock last year.
Kan (pictured) will head up the strategy, supported by alternate managers Rob Marshall-Lee and Caroline Keen. She has worked at the company for 15 years and has been involved in the management of the Asian Income fund since its inception in 2005. The fund was previously managed by Jason Pidcock, who left the firm in May 2015 to set up a rival strategy at Jupiter Asset Management, which launched earlier this year.
