Train: Why I have highest ever equity allocation in my investment trust

More than half the portfolio in equities

The £131m Lindsell Train investment trust, managed by Nick Train, has the highest allocation to equities in its history, with the manager saying he is more optimistic on the asset class than his peers.

At 30 April, the trust had 54.1% in equities, 32.4% in unlisted securities, 11.4% in funds and 2.1% in cash and equivalents, with its equity allocation divided into consumer franchises (31%), financials (7.4%) and media (15.7%).
