Standard Life Investments has launched an American Equity Income fund to the UK market run by Boston-based Scott Eun, who runs a similar product for US investors.
The fund will be managed with a total return approach and invest in around 60 companies, both defensives and cyclicals, with an overall dividend yield higher than the S&P 500. US talking points in nine charts SLI already runs an American Equity Unconstrained fund which is managed by Jeff Morris (pictured) and is £141m in size. This has returned 10% over one year to 15 June, according to FE, compared to average returns of 7% for the IA North America sector.
