Baring Asset Management is mounting a challenge to the established giants of the absolute return sector with the launch of a high conviction vehicle to be managed by James Ind, supported by the group's long-short investment team.
The Dynamic Absolute Return fund is a UCITS long-short market neutral strategy targeting a positive absolute return over a three-year rolling period, with target volatility of around 7%. Under current market conditions, the manager said this is expected to be a net return of cash +4%.
