Could spell safe haven status for UK longer term

Jupiter vice chairman Edward Bonham Carter has described the aftermath of today's decision to leave the EU as 'unchartered waters' and said the resulting market volatility could be greater than anything we have seen since the end of the financial crisis.

In a historic vote this morning, Britain voted to leave the European Union with a 52% majority, compared to 48% who voted to remain. Bonham Carter (pictured) said investors needed to be prepared for volatility that could last months and be greater than any moves we have seen since the end of the financial crisis.
