Morgan Stanley Investment Management has launched its US Active Factor Equity fund in a Luxembourg SICAV format, making the capabilities of its Applied Equity Advisors investment team available to UK investors for the first time.
The team run $5.1bn in AUM across a range of strategies, as at 31 March 2016, for US and global investors but this is the first time the expertise will be accessible to those based in Europe. The MS INVF US Active Factor Equity fund, managed by Chicago-based Andrew Slimmon and Phillip Kim, seeks to deliver alpha by capturing the outperformance of the market versus the benchmark regardless of which investment style - value or growth - is in favour.
