M&G's Olsen to take over European Select fund as Anniss exits

Departs firm after 16 years

M&G Investments has appointed John William Olsen as manager of the M&G European Select fund to replace Charles Anniss, who is leaving the firm after 16 years.

Anniss, who has managed the fund since 2011, is leaving the firm to pursue another career opportunity, having joined M&G in 2000. Olsen (pictured) will take on the new role effective from 11 July, and will also maintain his responsibilities as manager of the £597m M&G Global Select and the £143m Pan European Select funds. Olsen has been deputy manager on the £168m European Select fund since July 2014, and will also become deputy manager of the £120m M&G European Smaller Companies fund, a role previously held by Anniss.
