Once dubbed the worst performing investment trust in the UK, Aurora has been overhauled and is now trading at a premium under new manager Phoenix Asset Management.
Between 31 December 2010 and 1 January 2016, the trust lost 31%, securing its place at the bottom of the AIC UK Growth sector, which was up 51% during the period, according to FE. However, a new phase in the trust's history started last year when previous manager James Barstow from Mars Asset Management announced he would be retiring. Phoenix AM, which has an 18-year record running a range of offshore funds, then took over management of the vehicle in January.
