Francis Brooke's £2.7bn Trojan Income fund has risen from fifth to first position in Sanlam Private Wealth's prestigious White List, as some vehicles struggled during a turbulent start to the year and the fall-out from the Brexit vote.
The fund was highlighted in July's Income Study as one of only ten strategies in this sector to produce positive returns during a volatile June, which included the EU referendum. Sanlam's bi-annual report ranks IA UK Equity Income sector funds using seven different criteria based on returns, volatility and income distributed over the past five years, with the most recent period of performance receiving a higher weighting.
