EdenTree's Philip Harris has highlighted some interesting businesses from "dull" parts of the market that have attracted his interest as he seeks to make his mark on the £172m UK Equity Growth fund.
The manager, who previously worked at RWC Partners and Hermes IM, took over the fund from Andrew Jackson in September last year. Harris said he was pleased with the portfolio he inherited as he and Jackson have a similar investment approach. But he has since increased the fund's focus on small- and mid-cap companies where he believes the best value can be found.
