Helena Morrissey, chief executive of Newton Investment Management, has stepped down from the position for a new role as non-executive chair of the board.
She will step down after 15 years as chief executive and will now serve as an advisor to Newton and represent the firm within the financial services sector. She will be succeeded by Hanneke Smits who has also been appointed to the board of directors. Prior to joining Newton, she was chief investment officer at Adams Street Partners where she had worked for 19 years.
