Franklin Templeton and BlackRock were the worst hit groups in terms of outflows in July across Europe, according to the latest figures from Morningstar, while Nordea attracted the highest inflows over the month.
July was another month of pain for Franklin Templeton, according to Morningstar, with the US manager losing €1.8bn, bringing its total outflows for this year to €15.4bn. Its two "behemoth" funds, Templeton Global Total Return and Templeton Global Bond, accounted for the majority of the outflows, with a combined €13.9bn leaving these products over the past 12 months. The firm's equity range has also suffered, shedding some 14% of starting assets over the 12-month period, while allocation funds had a tough time.
