Legg Mason launches sterling share class for Global Infrastructure fund

Legg Mason has unveiled a sterling hedged share class for its £170m RARE Global Infrastructure fund, which launched last month.

The firm will offer two hedged share classes, income and accumulation, which will sit alongside existing share classes and provide investors with exposure to infrastructure equities while mitigating the impact of currency fluctuations. Adam Gent, head of UK sales at Legg Mason, said: "The fund aims to seek out the best income opportunities from a universe of listed global infrastructure stocks, and currently around 90% of the fund is invested in stocks overseas.
