The overall charges paid by retail investors in the UK every year remain above 2.5% on average, having only fallen by one tenth since the Retail Distribution Review (RDR), according to a new study.
Research from Grant Thornton, first published in the Financial Times, has revealed a retail investor purchasing advice and investment products from a single mass market fund group pays on average 2.56% in fees each year. This figure is only down around 10% from the average annual fee in December 2012, the month before the introduction of new rules for financial advisers as part of the RDR.
