Blake Hutchins has introduced his first small-cap stock to the Investec UK Equity Income fund, after taking advantage of market falls further down the market-cap scale in the aftermath of the EU referendum.
The manager (pictured) also added to existing mid-cap stocks held in the portfolio during the sell-off, as he admitted finding companies with growing dividends at the top level is becoming "more challenging". "Clearly, we did not expect the UK to leave the EU, but we run a portfolio with very low turnover and it is not geared towards UK domestic companies.
