SLI expands EMD team with JPMAM hire

Standard Life Investments has hired Imran Ahmad from J.P. Morgan Asset Management as an investment director on its emerging market debt team.

Ahmad joins from JPMAM where he has worked as a currency portfolio manager since 2013. Prior to this, he worked at RBS Global Banking and Markets for seven years. Reporting to SLI's head of emerging markets fixed income Richard House (pictured), Ahmad will have responsibility for the emerging market currency overlay strategies used on the firm's EMD funds. SLI runs four EMD strategies for retail and institutional investors, although its EMD Unconstrained fund was closed earlier this year and relaunched this week as a SICAV for European investors.
