Japanese trusts top NAV performance tables in September

Trusts with exposure to Japan and commodities were the top performers in NAV terms last month, led by Baillie Gifford's Shin Nippon trust, up by 10.5%.

In its latest monthly roundup, investment trust analyst QuotedData has revealed the best performing closed-end funds for September were those with exposure to Japan and commodities. At the top of the table was Baillie Gifford's £240m Shin Nippon trust which was up by 10.5%. It was joined by Fidelity Japanese Values trust and JPMorgan Japanese, up 8% and 7.7% respectively.
