Aberdeen's Gilbert and BlackRock's Fink ranked among top 100 global CEOs

Aberdeen Asset Management's Martin Gilbert and BlackRock's Larry Fink have been named among the top 100 chief executives in the world.

The list, put together by Harvard Business Review, ranked the world's 100 best CEOs based on performance on both financial and ESG measures over their entire time at their respective businesses, which comes to an average 17 years. Aberdeen's Gilbert was ranked 18th on the list, making him the second highest-ranked CEO for firms in the financial services sector. Gilbert co-founded Aberdeen in 1983 and has led it to become a leading asset management firm with £301.4bn in AUM, as at 30 June 2016, through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions.
