RWC Partners' emerging markets team has hired an advisory firm led by former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to gain insights on geopolitical risk within the region, and reinforce the managers' top-down views.
While the team, headed up by Miami-based John Malloy and James Johnstone, remain bottom-up stockpickers, they said their investment process also analyses macro and geopolitical themes, so investing in further resources in this area was a natural extension of their process.
