Neil Woodford is considering hedging his fund's exposure to US dollars for the first time since 2008.
In an exclusive interview with Hargreaves Lansdown, Woodford (pictured) said he has benefitted from weakening sterling as he had correctly positioned his £9.6bn CF Woodford Equity Income fund for this scenario. He is now considering at which point he should begin hedging the portfolio's US dollar exposure, after sterling fell some 17% against the US currently year-to-date. "We had been expecting sterling weakness and were positioned to benefit from it.
