Hugo Thorman, formerly CEO and chairman of Ascentric, has been appointed chief executive of fintech start-up Seccl Technology.
Thorman (pictured) was CEO of Ascentric from 2005 to December 2014, and chairman for the following six months. Since October 2015 he has been chairman of Altus, a specialist provider of financial consultancy services, but has had to resign from this role to take on his new position to avoid conflict of interest. Seccl is developing a trading, settlement and custody administration platform for both stocks/shares and funds, slated for launch in 2017.
