The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published a consultation document on its 'mission', which is designed to provide a 'guiding set of principles' around its strategy.
Among the various themes the consultation is attempting to tackle, the regulator is seeking opinions on how it should function with regard to redress schemes, the scope of its regulation and how far it should look to protect consumers. FCA chief executive Andrew Bailey (pictured) said: "Establishing and embedding a clear mission for the FCA is critical to our success, both as a regulator and to UK financial services as a whole.
