Columbia Threadneedle hires M&G director to replace Fleming

New EMEA CEO for the group

Columbia Threadneedle Investments has hired M&G's chief risk officer Michelle Scrimgeour as chief executive officer for EMEA and CEO of Threadneedle Asset Management Limited.

Scrimgeour replaces former EMEA CEO Campbell Fleming, who left the firm in April after six years to become global head of distribution at Aberdeen Asset Management.   She joins from M&G Investments, where she is currently chief risk officer and a director of M&G Group limited. The new role will also see her join the executive leadership team of Ameriprise Financial, oColumbia Threadneedle's parent company.  Before joining M&G, Scrimgeour had an extensive career at BlackRock (beginning at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and Mercury Asset Management, which were taken over by BlackRock...
