Former Chancellor George Osborne will join BlackRock's Investment Institute as a part-time senior adviser.
Osborne (pictured) is joining the investment giant's investment research arm as a senior adviser, according to reports. He will remain an MP, but will not be allowed to lobby the UK government - although the appointment will undoubtedly fuel speculation about his political career in the long-run. In his new role he will be reunited with his former top economic adviser Rupert Harrison, who took a senior position at the fund manager last year.
