Ex-OMGI's Oxley to return to investment management with liquid macro fund

Former Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) fund manager Russ Oxley is in the process of setting up his own firm called Oxley Investment Services to continue his work on absolute return products.

Oxley (pictured), who ran the £476m Old Mutual Absolute Return Government Bond fund, left OMGI last summer after only a year at the business, which he joined from Ignis Asset Management. At the time, it was said there were "differences in opinion" between him and management regarding the strategic direction at the firm. Investment Week understands he is now setting up a new business called Oxley Investment Services, which will be based in Edinburgh.
