Mobius to step down from most Templeton EM funds, but remains executive chairman

Mark Mobius will step down as manager on most of Templeton Emerging Market Group's Luxembourg domiciled SICAVs, but will remain executive chairman at the group.

The news follows the appointment of Stephen Dover as CIO of the group in April and will see changes to the lead management of a number of the group's funds as part of the "ongoing evolution of Templeton Emerging Markets Group". However, Mobius (pictured) remains executive chairman of the group and will continue to be involved in the investment process, where he will participate in research efforts and company visits.
