Expansion of strategy available in Japan

Allianz Global Investors has launched a new product which invests in companies pushing forward the development of artificial intelligence around the world.

The Allianz Global Artificial Intelligence (AI) fund will be available to both retail and institutional investors and will be managed by Sebastian Thomas, the group's US head of technology research. It is designed to benefit from AI's disruptive potential and will integrate companies that will drive the strategy to harness dynamic, sustainable growth. The equity fund is an expansion of the $1.8bn strategy which launched in Japan in September last year in partnership with Sumitomo Mitsui Asset Management and Nikko, but will be available to European investors for the first time.  The...
