France had the best performing equity market in March, according to MSCI's monthly index report, but Korea maintained its position as the best performing region year-to-date.
France returned 6.3% during March, followed by Korea and Germany with 5.3% and 4.5% returns respectively. Japan was the worst performing region on a monthly basis, and the only country to produce a negative return of 0.2%. Over the year to the end of March, Korea has returned 16.9%, the highest out of the countries monitored by the MSCI, while China came second with a 12.9% return.
