The Investment Week Fund Manager of the Year Awards, now in its 22nd year, is adopting a two-tier judging process for the first time, modelled on the way The Oscars are decided.

Funds on the final shortlist (see below) will be analysed and debated by sector specialists, who will rank them with a commentary on key areas which impressed them about the portfolio managers' skills over the three years to 31 March 2017. Their recommendations are then presented to the longer-serving panel of judges, many of whom have been part of the process for over 20 years, for a final round of adjudication.
